Tumbling Torsos are undead enemies that were removed from MediEvil.[3] They can be seen in an early trailer found on the PlayStation Plus Video Preview 1997 VHS. The Tumbling Torsos were intended to appear in the Pumpkin Gorge,[4] Cemetery Hill,[5] and possibly The Graveyard level.[3]
The Tumbling Torso entity is present in both the MediEvil Rolling Demo and the MediEvil ECTS Pre-Alpha.[1.1][2.1] However, their model is only present in the MediEvil ECTS Pre-Alpha.[2.2] Given their lack of an actual presence in either version, it can be assumed that they were cut at an earlier point in development.
Characteristics
Appearance
Tumbling Torsos were green zombie torsos with exposed ribcages. Their heads had been cut off, or had fallen off, as only bloody stumps with a bit of bone jutting out remained in their place. Everything below the waist was missing too. This did not leave them helpless however, as they were quite capable of using their intact arms to get around.
Gameplay
Killing a Tumbling Torso would have awarded Dan with 125 points.[1.1][2.1]
Animations
Tumbling Torsos have a total of six animations.
Gallery
