Cockroaches, or just roaches, were insects belonging to the order Blattodea. Some species were well-known pests.
History
13th century
The famine in Gallowmere was partially the result of swarms of roaches attacking Gallowmere's food stores. This was likely the doing of Zarok the Sorcerer who wished to oust the incompetent Mazok the Muddled in order to take over his position at court.[1]
