Dragon Dan is a cut gameplay mechanic from MediEvil. After drinking the Dragon Potion power-up, Sir Dan would transform into a red dragon. According to the game's producer, Chris Sorrell, Dragon Dan was cut due to taking up too much space in memory. This is likely because of the unique model and its multiple animations. Its replacement, the Dragon Armour, utilises the existing Dan model (safe for swapping out a few parts) and only has one unique animation for breathing fire.
The Dragon Dan model can be found inside The Gallows Gauntlet WAD file in the MediEvil ECTS Pre-Alpha, suggesting that this may have been one of the levels, or perhaps the only level, where the Dragon Potion would have appeared.[2]
