The Demonettes (died 1386), also known as the Flying Demons, were a pair of prehistoric demon sisters who resided in the Enchanted Earth. They used to play chess on a large chess board but neither of them ever won as someone always flipped the board.[1][1.1]

Gameplay

MediEvil

The Demonettes have the highest amount of health out of all the bosses in MediEvil.

Strategy

"These two Flying Demons can pretty much only be killed with a projectile weapon."
MediEvil: The Official Strategy Guide

The Demonettes, just like the Guardians of the Graveyard, share the same health bar, so they can't be brought down separately. They have an enormous amount of health (1700) and deal considerable damage. Some of their attacks are hard to dodge due to the unstable platform. As they are in the air at all times, it's impossible to attack them with melee weapons.

It's recommended to bring either the Axe or the Flaming Longbow to the battle, preferably the latter, as it deals damage over time. The player must be careful of where they are, as the chess-like platform they are on will tip over. The safest strategy is to wait until one of the Demonettes stops to unleash her attack, then counterattack with the Flaming Longbow, and repeat until they are beaten.

Book of Gallowmere entry

Everything is a competition for these demon sisters. When not disemboweling intruders, they enjoy a good game of chess.

We'll never know who is better. One of them always flips the table.

MediEvil: Resurrection

AN ADVENTURER'S GUIDE TO MONSTERS book entry

These prehistoric predators provoke as much fear through their incessant squealing and squawking as they do with their fireball attacks. Maybe that's why they resort to underhand tactics which (quite literally) tilt the odds in their favour. A would-be assailant shouldn't believe for one minute that this battle will be played on a level playing field, and must ride the see-sawing platform with the balance of a ballerina in order to prevail. At some point in the fight the Demonettes are liable to invoke a storm of heavy rocks upon their intended victim. Not the most subtle or honorable of tactics, but this just makes their eventual demise all the more satisfying should the adventurer prove victorious.
