"Please escort me to the base of the ancient battlefield. Just be mindful of the Swamp Guardian. I beat him in a game of Tentacle Tag, and he's a sore loser."
Knight McKnight, about the Swamp Guardian.

Tentacles were the touchy feelers of the Swamp Guardian, a giant creature that lived deep beneath the surface of the Pools Of The Ancient Dead.[1][1.1] It was said that the Swamp Guardian was too timid to show his many faces.[1.1]
