Parrots were nesting in the Greenwich Observatory in 1886. Some sources also claim that parrots were common companions to pirates in the 14th century.

    History

    14th century

According to some historical accounts, parrots were common companions for pirates in Gallowmere. They could be bought at the market in Scurvy Docks, but were temporarily out of stock when the resurrected Sir Daniel Fortesque needed to disguise himself as a pirate. The hero was thus forced to use a seagull instead.[3]

    19th century

Several parrots were nesting in Greenwich during the Autumn of Death. One of them pulled off Sir Dan's head, helping him realise he could remove his head to see and reach new areas.[4]
