History
14th century
In 1386, several bats could be found in Gallowmere. They were inhabiting caves such as the Crystal Caves, as well as abandoned buildings including the Scarecrow Fields' farm houses and the Asylum.
19th century
In 1886, the Count, an ancient vampire living in London, had the power to summon giant bats. Upon being defeated by Sir Daniel Fortesque, he also exploded into a flurry of them.
Gameplay
MediEvil 2
The giant bats summoned by the Count are essentially just one of his attacks and thus cannot be considered enemies in their own right. Once the Count releases their fiery variant, they fly towards the ground where they explode. The normal variant simply disappear after flying for a set amount of time. Although they cannot be destroyed, bats can be pushed using weapons such as swords.
