History
Life
In 1285, King Peregrin held the 49th Gallowmere Games, an annual contest where the most skilled warriors from the land would compete for top honors. This was the year Canny Tim entered the competition and won top prizes in all the archery categories of the event. The king was so impressed, he made Canny Tim a marksman of a crossbowman part of the cavalry led by Sir Dan, as well as Dan's second in command.[1]
A year later, Tim killed Zarok's champion, Lord Kardok, in the Battle of Gallowmere by shooting him in the eye from a thousand yards away, thus earning a place in the Hall of Heroes after death. According to one account, Tim's death came prematurely at the hands of Zarok himself.[2.1]
Afterlife
After collecting a Chalice of Souls, Dan spoke to Canny Tim, who told Dan about killing Lord Kardok (which annoyed Dan, as he was killed by an arrow as well) and offered him the crossbow as aid after quickly taking back the remark. Once Dan collected another Chalice, Tim gave him a Life Bottle without knowing how to use it. Other sources claim that Tim never gave Dan a Life Bottle but instead gave him the Hero's Crossbow after collecting seven Chalices.
Aiding Fortesque
In 1286, Canny Tim helped the undead Sir Dan thwart Zarok's attempt at conquering Gallowmere through the living Dan's incompetence. Tim procured Dirk Steadfast's Magic Sword for Dan to help slay the Jabberwocky attacking King Peregrin's Castle and later heleds Dan fight off an attack by Zarok. Tim also revealed that she is female, cross-dressing in order to be allowed into the king's army.

Development
According to Jason Wilson, the Heroes were designed very quickly for MediEvil with some of them being based on the original team members.[3]</ref> It is unknown if Canny Tim was based on a team member or not. In a Q&A about the MediEvil: The Game Prequel comic, Chris Sorrell explained his reasoning for reconceptualising Canny Tim as a female character:

Trivia
- Canny Tim is the only hero not mentioned in HEROES FROM HISTORY: A Retrospective, due to not being recognized as a hero outside the Hall of Heroes.
- In HISTORY OF GALLOWMERE - Volume 4, it is written that Tim died in the first volley of arrows. However, this is actually how Sir Dan died instead.
- Canny has several meanings, but given Tim's English accent, it is likely intended as an affectionate nickname.
- Being Dan's second in command, Tim does not insult Dan like the other members of the Hall of Heroes, at least not intentionally.
- Tim knows how to play the lute, as seen at the end of MediEvil.
Notes
- ↑ In the original MediEvil and its remake, Tim's death is only mentioned in HISTORY OF GALLOWMERE - Volume 4, which ascribes Sir Dan's actual death to Tim. It is unknown whether it is only the nature of Tim's death that is a fabrication or if Tim's death is fabricated altogether. The only direct account about Tim's death is in MediEvil: Resurrection, where Tim mentions being killed prematurely by Zarok.[2][2.1] However, this doesn't specify whether it was at the Battle of Gallowmere or not.
