Time Machine Pieces were missing parts of the Professor's Chrono-chair at the museum. They could be found inside other museum exhibits.
History
After Princess Kiya's death, Sir Dan gave up on saving London from Lord Palethorn. However, he was given a poster by the Spiv which gave him hope that he might save her. Following his confrontation with the Professor over the poster, Dan learnt that there is a time machine at the museum. He headed there immediately, where he found that it's not in a working condition. In order to fix it, Dan had to visit other museum exhibits where pieces of the machine were kept.
Gameplay
There are three pieces Dan needs to obtain in order to fix the time machine.
Earth exhibit
To obtain this piece, Dan has to put his head on a severed hand in order to enter the central structure. Inside, he needs to jump on satellites circling the planet to reach the time machine piece.
Space exhibit
The piece in the Space exhibit requires that Dan puts his head on a severed hand so that he can get behind the glass display. Headless Dan then needs to stand on the three buttons in front of the exhibit to make the Martians come out of hiding. Dan-hand then needs to position himself between the current Martian and the rocket. After the Martian shoots, Dan needs to get out of the way, making the Martian destroy a part of the rocket. This will kill the Martian. Once the rocket is destroyed, Dan will be able to reach the time machine piece.
Contact exhibit
As part of this exhibit, Dan needs to follow the pattern of the celestial horn and press the buttons on the floor in the same order. This needs to be done eight times in order for Dan to obtain the final time machine piece.
Time exhibit
Once all three pieces have been obtained, Dan needs to head into the Time exhibit. After all three pieces are slotted in, Dan will get on the machine and turn it on.
